Throughout the Summer months, the Southern Great Barrier Reef comes alive with the magical sight of nesting sea turtles. From November to January the eggs are laid and from January to March, these tiny creatures emerge from their sandy nests and follow their instincts out into the ocean. A great family experience
for the school holidays. |

Escape to the Whitsundays via our new wallpapers and screensaver. View the breathtaking 74 islands and mainland surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Coral Sea in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.
Marvel at the aquatic playground of the
Great Barrier Reef or take to the skies to view the naturally heart-shaped reef.
It's almost as good as being there. Almost. |

Approximately 16 degrees below the equator, the rivers begin to flow and rumble. The rainforest thrives
and thickens into a luscious green wonder. The ocean challenges you to find a word to describe its colour as the coral that lives beneath transforms it into a playground
of adventure. Now is the time for adventure.
Raft, dive, hike, snorkel, sail. Tropical North Queensland is alive. Change your latitude. |

The Mamu Rainforest Canopy Walkway is now open! 15 years in the making, this spectacular tree-top walkway is the largest project ever undertaken in a Queensland National Park and features a 2.2km forest walking track that links a 40m-high elevated walkway through the canopy with an observation tower offering river and rainforest views.
Located just 90 mins drive from Cairns or 30 mins
from Innisfail in the Wooroonooran National Park,
the walkway was developed in partnership with the indigenous Mamu people, offering a world class interpretive facility to learn more about their culture
and to experience the exotic plants and animals of the Wet Tropics.
